Program Details:
Many young mothers in
St. Lucia are unable to afford books, uniforms and basic school
supplies for their children. The objective of this project is
to be able to choose a mother with young children at school and
provide them with all their books, uniforms, etc. each
month. The process of selection of a mother would be done
based on the school's indication of families who are most need of
these services.

Looking for
assistance in advertising such a program on the news media (i.e.,
television or radio) in St. Lucia
-
Need to know if there are similar projects of this nature
currently underway in St. Lucia so we can pool our resources and
efforts

If anyone wants to
assist, what we intend to do in the interim, is to get the primary
schools' book list for students aged between 7-12. Then a
list of secondary schools' books for students aged between
12-16. We will then give interested contributors a copy of
those lists themselves and see whether they can get those books,
if they are not able to make a monetary donation. When books
are bought they can then be sent to me for
